Agrokultura released Q3 2014 livestock update

2014-10-29 11:32:58

According to the official information, released by the company, Agrokultura increased milk production by 8% per cow to 559 liters over the past 12 months till September 2014 compared to the same period in 2013 and prior. The rate is twice as high compared to the same indicator, reported in the Q2, 2014. At the same time overall milk production is 2.2% lower at 974 thousand liters due to reduction in the size of the herd. At the same time, the decline is an improvement from reported 7.7% in the second quarter of 2014.

Company reported increase in SEK-denominated milk revenue by 16.6% compared to the same period in 2013. Main reason for such growth is increase in milk price in Russian Federation by 33%, denominated in Ruble, which translated into 22% of SEK price increase. Revenues from meat segment were 33% lower, reflecting 10% drop in local meat prices. Company attributes decline of sales revenue in meat segment to abnormally high meat sales in previous period as the result of her restructuring. Company is forecasting increase of meat sales revenues share in total sales from current 10% to 20% in the next periods.
