Belarus raises oil export duties

2014-06-03 10:21:30

As from 1 June 2014 Belarus raised export duties on oil and oil products exported outside the customs territory of the Customs Union, BelTA has learned.

The decision is stipulated by Council of Ministers Resolution No. 513 of 27 May 2014.

The export duty on crude oil went up from $376.1 to $385 per tonne. The duty on straight-run gasoline and commercial gasoline rose from $338.4 to $346.5 per tonne. The export duty on light and medium distillates increased from $248.2 to $254.1 per tonne. The same duty will be applied to benzene, toluene, xylene, fuel oil, lubricants, waste oils, petrolatum and paraffin, petroleum coke (except for calcinated petroleum coke) and oil bitumen.

The export duty on diesel fuel was raised from с $244.4 to $250.2 per tonne, that on liquefied gases went down from $88.3 to $86 per tonne.

The new executive order has amended Council of Ministers executive order No.1932 of 31 December 2010, which set export duties on crude oil and several oil product categories while abolishing several previous executive orders of the Council of Ministers. The document was adopted in accordance with Belarus president decree No.716 of 31 December 2010, which set rates for export duties.
