2014-05-28 10:16:42

UkrAgroConsult calculates Ukrainian Agrarian Index – an instrument designed to reflect foreign investor expectations of value of Ukrainian Agrarian Companies on a daily basis. According to Financial Analyst of the company Alex Morgun, recent elections in Ukraine have driven up market capitalization of Agrarian Holdings as expected. Slight increase was first noted at the end of the trading session on Friday, May 23, 2014 when it became apparent that elections will be held in Ukraine despite regional tensions within the country. Capitalization rose by 3.18% to EUR 3.13 billion on daily basis. Growth continued after successful completion of election process on Monday, May 26, 2014 – by 2.81% to EUR 3.22 billion. Growth rates are highest ones since May 8, 2014. We believe that these rates indicate the beginning of upwards trend for market capitalization of the public companies. Annual trend for Ukrainian Agrarian Index is presented in Figure below.
