According to the official information, released on websites of Astarta and Agroliga, companies have started their sowing campaigns. Astarta started planting sugar beets, sunflower, barley and forage crops and is currently planning to plant corn and soybeans next. Astarta claimed to possess all of the necessary seeds, mineral fertilizers and plant protection agents. Company’s employees have undergone series of trainings prior to the sowing campaign.

Agroliga is planning to plant 5 801 hectares, including 2 290 hectares of sunflower, 1 540 hectares of spring barley, 1 001 hectares of corn and 390 hectares of spring wheat. 580 hectares were allocated for growing cattle feed. Liquid fertilizers were applied at 100% of fall sawn areas, including 1 004 hectares of wheat and barley and 645 hectares of rapeseed. Total acreage currently cultivated by the company is reported at 7 450 hectares.
