Gross public debt of Ukraine grows to USD 143 billion last year

Gross public debt of Ukraine in 2013 grew from USD 137.7 billion to USD 142.5 billion in Q4, 2013, a statement of the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) reads.
According to the NBU information, in Q4, 2013, growth of gross foreign debt of Ukraine was USD 4.798 billion or 3.48%.
As of January 1, 2014, USD 29.9 billion or 20% of gross public debt fell on the state government sector.
Banks owe almost USD 22.65 billion or 15.8% of debt. About USD 1.8 billion or 1.25% fell on money and credit regulation bodies. Debt of other sectors makes up USD 79.4 billion or 55.7%, debts of firms are USD 8.84 billion or 6.2%.
