Ukrainian segment of Nestle confectionery business becomes world's best in terms of growth

The company Nestle Ukraine intends to invest 13 million Swiss francs (about 104 million UAH) in the development of the confectionery factory Svitoch in 2012.
According to Hennadiy Radchenko, Nestle Ukraine director for corporate affairs, the money will be spent on retooling of the factory.
In 2011, he added, 5.5 million Swiss francs (44 million UAH) were allocated for these purposes.
At a meeting with Chairman of Lviv Regional State Administration Mykhailo Tsymbaliuk Tuesday, Radchenko said that the confectionery business in Ukraine in the 1st half of 2011 was the fastest growing business among Nestle's confectioneries worldwide.
The international company Nestle acquired a controlling stake (96.96%) in CJSC Svitoch (Lviv, western Ukraine) in 1998.
