Kernel ups profit by 43%

Ukraine's top edible oil producer and exporter Kernel has reported the results of its activities for the fiscal year that ended on June 30.
The company's net profit rose to the equivalent of USD 217.6 million, from USD 151.7 million for the previous fiscal year. Kernel's gross income increased to USD 1.906 billion from USD 1.02 billion.
The obtained results exceeded forecasts by investment analysts who had expected that the company's sales in 2011 will reach about USD 1.818 billion and net profit USD 189 million.
