European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) will provide Astarta with a seven-year secured loan with a 18-month grace period of up to 60M USD. The funds will finance subsidiary of the company Astarta-Kyiv . Agroholding stated that funding will be used to repay earlier loans borrowed and the EBRD support for the dynamic development of companies in agro, dairy and sugar business, and will enhance the diversification and vertical integration.

Astarta is a vertically integrated agro-industrial holding, which unites five regional offices in Poltava, Vinnytsya and Khmelnytsky oblasts. The structure consists of six sugar factories. The main activities of the holding are sugar production, ancillary products, grains and oilseeds, as well as meat and milk.
