Agroholding Harmelia might acquire agricultural company "Niva"

Harmelia Holdings, created by Sigma Bleyzer Southeast European Fund IV (SBF IV) agricultural holding, may acquire private agricultural enterprise "Niva". According to the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine, Cyprus Azent Limited was entitled to purchase more than 50% of the Ukrainian company.
According to agency "Interfax-Ukraine", Azent Limited is associated with Harmelia Holdings. At the same time the agency has not yet managed to get official comments from representatives of agricultural holdings.
At the end of May 2011 Harmelia Holdings controlled 72.7 thousand hectares in the Kharkiv and Poltava regions and announced plans to increase its land bank by 2 times.
SigmaBleyzer investments in the development of the company totaled to 82, 5M EUR over the past 17 months. John Shmorhun has been the head of Harmelia Holdings since September 2009. "Niva" is owned by private person, resident of Ukraine. Net income of the company in 2010 fell by 8.8% - to 5.47M USD and net loss decreased by three times, to 0.49 million USD.
