The private company Khlibinvestbud, which has a state monopoly for government purchases of wheat and other agricultural commodities, said on April 4 it completed forward contracting of 286 thousand tones of wheat. That is 34% of the total 786 thousand tones it plans to buy on behalf of the government. However, CEO Mr. Brody complained that they are having a hard time because the government raion administrations are not working hard enough to convince farmers to sell to the private company.
