President approves attraction of USD 200 m from World Bank

Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych has signed a law on the ratification of a guarantee agreement (energy efficiency project) between Ukraine and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (the World Bank).
Under the energy efficiency project, Ukreximbank is expected to raise a USD 200 million loan from the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development under Ukraine's guarantees for 30 years with a six-year grace period.
In addition, the project foresees the provision to Ukrainian companies, including the providers of utility services, of medium - and long-term financing for the needs of production: investment loans, including through selected commercial participating banks.
