U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Geoffrey Pyatt says that the American company Cargill, the international agro-industrial corporation ADM, and the machine manufacturing company John Deere are going to invest in Ukraine’s economy if reforms are carried out in the country.

“Firstly, I would mention some of our major agribusiness companies such as Cargill, ADM, and John Deere. All of them want very much to work in Ukraine, but are ready to do more if the business environment is more favorable,” Pyatt said. The Ambassador noted that Ukraine needs to carry out reforms for overcoming corruption and to reform the energy sector, where, he said, unjustified subsidies are present.

In the opinion of Pyatt, these changes will help attract many American investors. As reported earlier, U.S. billionaire and investor George Soros believes Ukraine must begin a program of real radical reforms no later than April.
