Investment in economy rises 38.7%, reaches USD 18bn

Capital investment in Ukraine in the first nine months of 2011 compared with same period in 2010 grew by 38.7% to UAH 143.2 billion (USD 1 - UAH 7.98), the State Statistics Service said in a statement.
Investment in tangible assets amounted to UAH 138.297 billion.
The largest amount of investment was used in the industry - UAH 52,911.7 billion, of which the mining industry - UAH 15.983 billion, the processing - UAH 25,752.4 billion, the production and distribution of electricity, gas and water - UAH 11,176.3 billion. UAH 21.4 billion was invested in transport and communications, UAH 20.9 billion - real estate, agriculture - UAH 10.8 billion.
Own funds of enterprises and organizations were used at UAH 90.214 billion (63% of the total), bank loans and other loans - UAH 22,642.9 billion (15.8%), the state budget - UAH 8,412.1 billion (5.9%).
