In 2011, the trade turnover between Ukraine and France has increased by almost 40 percent
The trade turnover between Ukraine and France has tended to rise, and this year it was increased by 38 percent and has totaled $ 1.5 billion. This was underlined by the Chairman the State Customs Service Igor Kalyetnik during a meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the French Republic to Ukraine Jacques Faure who has completed his three-year diplomatic mission.
Igor Kalyetnik has noted that the interaction which the State Customs Service has begun with the Embassy of France one and a half years ago, has led to positive results. In particular, regular meetings with representatives of the French business have allowed resolving any immediate issues in the operative order.
During the meeting, Igor Kalyetnik has expressed hope that interaction of the State Customs Service with Jacques Faure's successor would be not less fruitful. "There are many areas for development cooperation," he has noted.
The Chairman of State Customs Service has also noted that the majority of the imported goods come to Ukraine from France under direct contracts and with declaration of the full costing.
