Ukraine boosts trade with France
Turnover between Ukraine and France in 2011 increased by 38% and made up USD 1.5 billion, Chairman of the State Customs Service Ihor Kaletnik has said during a meeting with Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of France to Ukraine Jacques Faure, who completed his three-year diplomatic mission.
Kaletnik noted that cooperation, which the State Customs Service started with the French Embassy 1.5 years ago, brought positive results. In particular, constant meetings with French business representatives allowed settling all urgent issues operatively.
The head of the State Customs Service added that the majority of goods imported to Ukraine from France come by direct contracts and with declaration of their full cost.
In addition, Kaletnik is convinced that a new level of bilateral relations will be promoted by personal meetings of heads of customs services of the two countries.
Jacques Faure thanked the Chairman of the State Customs Service for effective and constructive cooperation.
